THE SUMUP/OUTLINE HISTORY OF HOSANNA CHURCH

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you so to the end of the age, I am with you always”. (Matthew 28:19-20) Accepting Jesus' last commandment, His assurance and beliefs with spirit, God revealed His great plan to Hosanna Church. God used ordinary people to do extraordinary work with courage and determination. Before 25 year, God speaks in an amazing/surprising way with Sundas family. “So do not fear for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my Righteous right hand.” (Isiah 41:10) In this way, sundas's family and 20 other people started home church from Sundarijal VDC ward no.5 received privilege to be registered church on dated 2051-09-10 at Jorpati, Kathmandu. In the Beginning, People of Hosanna Church couldn’t understand the great plan of God indeed being faithful on small things, God trusted us with huge responsibility towards the church. While sharing God’s Agape love to the people who were weary, heartbroken, helpless and hopeless, Hosanna church came to be the safe place for all of them. By the grace of God, many people were converted and God transformed their lives. Church gradually grew up and been so fruitful till today. 

Along with those blessings, Challenges were also the part of it. We all the believers of Hosanna Church humbly accepted the faults that took place in the very beginning days. Many of the situations had been created by our own heads while other circumstances occurred in a way to affect us from different people of a community. But, every challenging situations let Church bow down forth of Living God which as a result, He, the Living God empowered His believers more strongly due to which we all are fully dependent on Him alone. Our God never put us in shame. He made us the head not the tail. Whenever our feet were about to slip and stumbled He watched over us and lifted us safely in His Mighty hands. Hosanna Church had been built over a hired/leased land. Around 500 believers adjusting capacity covered by church was about to be limited in following years. We feel so blessed whenever we recall those days when two alternate services held on Saturday because of overly crowded believers. We all the believers kept on praying for our own church building along with that we started to confess that one day we will have our own church building where thousands of people gathered to worship our God and saviour and finally our Faith began to work. What we confessed, God made it possible. 

God offered us our own Church covering 30 acre land can hold the capacity of 1500 believers at Kirat Chowk situated at GOTHATAR. ”Our God is Provider”. Had anyone thought, about group of believers doing fellowship under the water leakage rooftop could stand doing fellowship on the marbeled floor? Had anyone thought, that very Church which was started by ordinary people could open up more than 670 branches in domestic and foreign land/countries? Today, if we look over 25 years history of Hosanna Church, this church has built many of the people in Christ. Some are well reknown singer, some are well reknown writer, doctors, engineer, teacher and so on. Today, we, all the believers of this church are fully determined towards the living God. To bring up Hosanna Church to this position, we HEARTLY acknowledge all the contributing hands including leaders, believers and friends. Huge honourto the Lord Jesus
